The Futuristic Hall of the Olivo 1939 is the place where international cuisine meets the avant-garde art.
Are you looking for a special setting for an elegant evening, a company dinner or a family event?
Our walls are an important part of Verona’s artistic heritage; this place finally becomes available for citizens, tourists and art lovers, and for those who want to organize a dinner in the place symbol of Futurism in Verona.
After a meticulous restoration that lasted over a year, we opened the Futurist Hall on the lower level of the “Olivo” in the winter of 2016. The painting cycle is made by local futurist painters Albino Siviero Verossì and Amos Ernesto Tomba, and the verses were written by the poet Giuseppe Barni. It depicts the highlights of the love story of Romeo and Juliet and tells of a fascinating Verona at the turn of the 20th century, when art and culture were the hub of city life.
The Futurist Hall is available for customers by reservation, but is also open to the public for a simple visit.
It is also the theater of themed dinners with futuristic themed menus and artistic performances: just imagine women and men of other times, distinct and elegant. A secluded room where you can breathe the history, told on the walls by young local artists: visionary poets whose zang! tumb! were heard over the murmuring. All this relives today at the “Olivo 1939”.
“Eat with art in order to act with art!”
